Project Overview
Onnec supported a multi-site retail store Wi-Fi upgrade across 28 stores in the UK, France, Belgium, and Norway.
The customer required an assessment of the condition and performance of their site-wide network infrastructure. Onnec produced detailed reports outlining recommended upgrades, surveying access point locations, communications rooms, cabinets, frames, and cabling routes, before delivering any remediation works to improve the existing infrastructure.
The result was a consistent, standardised approach across all locations, enhancing network reliability and ensuring each store was better prepared to support customer needs, store operations, and future connectivity demands.
Scope
- Reviewed HPE/Aruba heatmaps and design documentation.
- Carried out on-site surveys to validate proposed access point (AP) locations.
- Installed and commissioned approximately 7,000 wireless access points.
- Full documentation and handover pack.
- Completed a final site walk-through to verify all APs were live, correctly installed and aligned with the approved design.
