Women in Construction awards 2025: A Night of Inspiration and Recognition
Last Friday, the Onnec team attended the Women in Construction Awards 2025, a prestigious event that shines a spotlight on the incredible achievements of women driving change and innovation across the construction industry.
The Women in Construction Awards is a distinguished addition to the renowned Irish Construction Industry Awards, designed to celebrate and acknowledge the exceptional achievements of women in the construction sector. Launched under the auspices of the Irish Construction Industry Awards, this event is committed to recognising the contributions of women professionals, teams, and projects within the construction industry, highlighting their originality, innovation, and excellence in the built environment.
We were proud to be shortlisted in two categories:
- Diversity, Equality & Inclusion Strategy of the Year – recognising our ongoing commitment to building a more inclusive and representative workplace across the business.
- Best Health & Safety Leadership Award – celebrating the outstanding leadership of Lorraine Watt, whose dedication to safety continues to set a high standard for our industry.
While we didn’t take home the awards on the night, being recognised among such an inspiring group of nominees was an honour in itself. Our team had a fantastic evening connecting with peers, sharing stories, and celebrating the progress being made across the construction landscape. It was a night filled with pride, perspective, and purpose.
