Onnec Team Takes Part in the 20th Standard Chartered Great City Race

On Tuesday, 22 July 2025, the London Onnec team laced up their trainers and joined more than 5,000 runners in the Standard Chartered Great City Race, a 5K course through the heart of London’s Square Mile.

Now in its 20th year, the Great City Race has become the City of London’s premier corporate mass participation running event. For two decades, it has brought colleagues together from across the capital to celebrate teamwork, wellbeing, and community spirit — all while raising funds for a vital cause.

This year’s race entry fees went directly to the Standard Chartered Foundation, supporting Futuremakers by Standard Chartered. This global initiative tackles inequality and promotes greater economic inclusion by helping young entrepreneurs and job seekers from underserved communities to access opportunities and build sustainable livelihoods. Importantly, all funds raised for Futuremakers will be matched by Standard Chartered PLC, doubling the impact and enabling programmes in the UK, Europe, and worldwide.

The Onnec team was proud to take part in this milestone year, running not just for fitness and fun, but also to support a movement that empowers the next generation.
