ONNEC RECOGNISED AS ENVIRONMENTAL CONTRACTOR OF THE MONTH
Onnec has been awarded Environmental Contractor of the Month at one of its major data centre projects in Sweden, recognising the team’s proactive approach to environmental management, site compliance, and consistently high standards of operational delivery.
This latest recognition follows closely on from Onnec’s recent Contractor of the Month for Safety award, achieved during Construction Safety Week after a series of site-based activities focused on reinforcing safe working practices and engagement across project teams. Together, these awards highlight the sustained commitment to both environmental responsibility and safety excellence across Onnec project delivery.
At the Swedish data centre site, Onnec is delivering critical infrastructure works alongside ongoing smart hands support services, ensuring both build quality and operational continuity for the client. The team’s integrated approach continues to demonstrate strong coordination between installation, support services, and on-site compliance management.
The Environmental Contractor of the Month award was presented by the Main Contractor, Winthrop, in recognition of exceptional standards observed on site. A representative from Winthrop commented:
“Onnec has been awarded Environmental Contractor of the Month for their proactive approach to environmental management and site compliance. All required documentation was organised and readily available upon request, demonstrating excellent preparation and accountability. Their diesel storage area was set up to a high standard, including a spill mat, exclusion zone, double-bunded tank, and correctly stored diesel containers on a spill tray with protective cage and hazardous materials signage.”
